Great product for examining coins!!, October 19, 2009

I purchased this microscope to be able to examine coins a lot closer and take photos. It works just as advertised. Led's reflect in the picture if the coin is inside a reflective surface (plastic case, etc).

Glass slides, November 25, 2006

This is a box of quality slides that I ordered when I purchased my Microscope. What can you really say about a glass slide? They are nice slides for what I am planning on using them for and for the price you can't go wrong buying them. If you don't want to purchase covers just put another slide on top. Try them..You'll like them. Just keep away from little kids as these are glass and can cut and be broken into little pieces.

Nice Fans, November 30, 2009

I bought 2 of these to replace the fans that came in my case. I am very happy with these so far. They are very quiet and move plenty of air.My case temp hit about 40c tops with the fans set at the lowest speed setting in the BIOS.I have 2 Radeon 4770 cards running in crossfire mode, as well as having my system overclocked.

A tool that works and is reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

Great fan for the money., November 9, 2009

I didn't think I was going to get much quality for $10, but I was pleasantly surprised. This fan does provide a nice amount of air and is very quiet. I used these after using some Antec Tri Cool fans and the fan is a lot dimmer in light output which I find as a plus. You can still see the light but it won't light up a room at night. It does not have a speed switch like my previous Antec, but since it's so quiet it's not really an issue.

This tool works just as they say. I used it today as I upgraded the outlets in our kitchen, baths and garage to GFIs and it correctly identified the appropriate breaker every time.

You do need to read and follow the directions, which say to make two passes over all of the the breakers in your panel. The first time, it will beep at and point to a number of breakers. The second time, it beeps and a green arrow points to only one breaker, the one controlling the circuit into which you plugged the transmitter.

A tool that works and is reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

Comforts of home, May 31, 2008

I bought this immersion heater to take with me into the hospital. I was having radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid cancer. I knew I'd be able-bodied, but bored, under orders to drink lots of fluids, and seeing very little of the nurses, as they do these treatments in special isolation rooms. It was such a good thing to be able to have a cup of hot herbal tea, or some cocoa, whenever I wanted, just as I would at home. The immersion heater worked perfectly. The key is to remember that you must never plug the heater in until the coil is immersed in your cup, and never remove the coil from your cup until you unplug it. The heater boils water so fast, you really do need to watch it- a watched pot may never boil, but a forgotten immersion heater would boil your cup dry very quickly. I had to put my heater away in a box with the books I read in the hospital, as they scanned my stuff with a Geiger counter when my treatment was over, and it read "hot". Everything will be safe to use again after a month, and I will be glad to have the heater to use when we travel. My post-treatment scan gave me a clean bill of health, so I will be enjoying this heater for a long time to come!
